Stargazing Program -- Eight Planets, One Star, Endless Stories

Join members of the Westminster Astronomical Society Inc. to explore the fascinating history and evolution of telescopes as tonight's talk delves not only into the different telescope types and their unique contributions that revolutionized our view of the stars and beyond but lets you embark on a journey through the lens of this remarkable instrument. 

Rain or shine, during the indoor portion of the program, you will learn the constellations and have your questions answered about the galaxy. If the weather is clear, the group will spend time outside once it is dark viewing the cosmos through "time machines" (telescopes) provided by WASI. Feel free to bring your own telescope! WASI will assist with setup and focusing as needed. Wear sturdy shoes as night hiking is required to get to the viewing field. This program is eligible for the Model B Junior Ranger Program. Signup is encouraged. This program will be held even if raining.
