Come get your "haunt" on for Halloween! Join a volunteer ranger at this family-oriented pumpkin-carving event for children (8 and older) and adults at the Soldiers Delight visitor center. Learn how early settlers carved jack-o-lanterns and find out how this ancient custom originated. Bring as many pumpkins as you will help your children carve. Carving knives will be supplied, but parents must assist children who are too young to handle knives by themselves. Some carving patterns will be available, but feel free to print out your own to bring along.
