Chromite is Officially Declared Maryland's State Mineral!

Chromite, first discovered in Maryland and mined at the Choate chromium mine at Soldiers Delight NEA in the 1800s, becomes the official Maryland state mineral effective TODAY!!

Look What We Found!

The video has been graciously provided for our use by Maryland Public Television and the University of Maryland's Maryland Public Television records, 0087-MMC, Special Collections and University Archives. Watch the video here, and remember, everything is there for your viewing pleasure, but nothing can ever be picked, harvested or removed from Soldiers Delight.

Soldiers Delight Featured During Maryland Science Week

Victory For Soldiers Delight NEA on Zoning Issue

Serpentine TrailIt is with immense satisfaction and gratitude that Soldiers Delight Conservation, Inc. announces that SDCI was victorious this week in convincing Baltimore County District 4 Councilman Julian Jones to vote no to up-zoning a 4.5-acre parcel adjacent to SDNEA from Rural Conservation to Business Major. It was a hard-fought battle and there are several to thank.

Say "NO" to Zoning Change Request Adjacent to SDNEA!
